  1. Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship

    Applicant must have a strong caddie record, excellent academics, outstanding character, and be able to demonstrate financial need. High school evaluation, caddie evaluation, and official financial documentation including a copy of parents’ most recent federal tax return and the required College Scholarship Service Financial Aid Profile are required.   5. Memorial Scholarship

    Applicant must be a woman between the ages of 16 and 21 who is a Michigan resident attending or planning to attend a Michigan school and who is the daughter, granddaughter, or great-granddaughter of an American Legion Member or of someone who is eligible for American Legion membership. Selection is based upon transcripts, letters of recommendation, and financial need.

  6. Michigan Competitve Scholarship

    Applicant must file the FAFSA and score a 23 on the ACT. Award is based on financial need and merit. Tuition and fees only.

  7. Michigan Educational Opportunity Grant

    Applicant must be an undergraduate student who is enrolled on at least a part-time basis at a Michigan public community college or university.

  8. NTA Michigan Undergraduate Scholarship

    Applicant must be a permanent resident of Michigan who is entering their second year of a two-year school, or junior or senior year of undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the state of Michigan. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and be enrolled as a full- or part-time student in a tourism-specific program or area of focus, or a hospitality program with a focus on travel and tourism. A minimum of 30 credit hours must be completed for a two-year school; 60 credit hours for a four-year school by May in order to be eligible. Application, scanned copy of driver's license (or passport) as proof of permanent residency, resume, two letters of recommendation (from academic and professional tourism-related individuals), official transcript, and a scanned two-page original essay are required to be submitted. Required essay question: “Discuss what segment of the travel and tourism or hospitality industry your current program of study focuses on. What opportunities are you taking advantage of as you prepare for a career in the industry? Please tell us about your academic and extracurricular activities and experiences, i.e. work, internships, etc., and how they tie into your present and future goals."   9. President's Scholarship

    Applicant must be enrolled at the University of Michigan for at least two semesters with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant have graduated from a Downriver high school.

  10. Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students

    Applicant must be a Michigan resident who is the dependent of a veteran. Applicant must be a non-traditional student returning to higher education after an interruption, a degree-seeking student over age 22 attending college in Michigan for the first time, or a student over age 22 attending a Michigan vocational or trade school. Selection is based upon academic ability, character/leadership, initiative, and financial need. Transcripts or work history required.

  12. Summer Research Opportunity Program

    Applicant must be a underrepresented citizen or permanent resident of the United States who is enrolled in a degree-granting program at a college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, or other United States territory. At least two semesters of undergraduate education, at least one semester of undergraduate education remaining after completing the program, and a strong interest in pursuing a Ph.D. are required. Summer program designed to enhance academic and research skills by working one-on-one with a faculty mentor from top ranked institutions. Recipient will gain experience as an undergraduate student that will put them at an advantage as a graduate applicant; at the same time earning money and having an all expenses paid research opportunity. Forty hours of research per week and full-time devotion to the program during the eight- to ten-week session will be required. Applicant may only use one application to apply to eight universities. The University of Michigan, Northwestern University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and University of Wisconsin-Madison require applicants to complete a separate application.

  13. The Center for the Education of Women Scholarship

    Applicant must be a graduate, professional, or undergraduate-level student whose education has been interrupted. The interruption in education must be for at least 48 consecutive months, or a total of 50 months, not counting interruptions of less than eight months. Applicant must be pursuing a clear educational goal in any academic or professional program, full- or part-time at any campus of the University of Michigan. Past CEW Scholarship recipients are not eligible.

  14. Young Survivor Scholarship Program

    Applicant must be a United States citizen and a legal resident of Indiana or Michigan who is 20 years old or younger and is a cancer survivor. Applicant must attend, or be planning to attend an accredited college, university, or trade/technical school in either of those two states and be able to maintain full-time status carrying 12 or more credit hours per semester.
