    Applicant must be under age 25, have been born in or have been a legal resident of the state of Maine for at least four years or have at least one parent who was born in or who has been a legal resident for at least four years, and be enrolled for a minimum of 12 semester hours at a four-year nonprofit college or university in Maine. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and submit "student copy" of college transcript and a handwritten composition (500-word maximum) containing background information on applicant's qualifications for scholarship. SASE required. Award may be used at Maine colleges and universities.

    Applicant must be a Maine resident attending an eligible school in a state with a reciprocal agreement.

  10. Maine Veterans Dependent Educational Benefits

    Applicant must be a spouse or child of a veteran who is permanently and totally disabled due to a service-connected cause, and must plan to attend a public Maine school. Veteran must have been resident of Maine at time of entry into service or have been a resident five years prior to application. Award is for a two- or four-year degree program. Award may be used at Maine state institutions.

  11. NEEBC Scholarship Award

    Applicant must be a full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate student who is considering a career in a benefits-related area such as: health care program design, pension plan design, implementation or administration, retirement strategies, ERISA and legal aspects of employee benefits, work/life programs, health risk management, institutional investing of retirement savings, multi-employer plans, workers compensation, actuarial and underwriting analysis, or employee benefits communications. Selection will be based upon specific employee benefit related study, activities, and goals, school and community activities, work experience, future potential, and academic performance. Application, transcript, and two recommendations are required to be submitted.

  12. New England Regional Student Program

    Applicant must be a resident of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont who is enrolled or plans to enroll in a major program at a New England public college or university that is not offered by a public university in applicant's home state.

  13. Presidential Distinguished Scholar Award

    Applicant must be a Maine resident with rank in top tenth of class and a minimum combined SAT score of 1250.

  14. Presidential Scholars Award

    Applicant must rank in top fifth of secondary school class. Award is to be used for the purchase of required textbooks.
