Matching Scholarships for University of Kentucky

  1. Academic Scholarship

    Applicant must submit the academic excellence scholarship application for current students

  2. College of Agriculture First Year Scholarship

    Applicant must fill out the appropriate application form and attach a copy of either ACT or SAT Reasoning scores. Applicant must have a strong writing ability and leadership qualities.

  3. Commonwealth Scholars Program

    Applicant must be a resident of Kentucky attending a college or university in Kentucky. Varies by school

    Applicant must be a Kentucky resident and have received services from the sate Office for the Blind, Office of Employment and Training, Office of Career and Technical Education, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation or Kentucky Adult Education in the past three years.

    Applicant will automatically receive scholarship if meet GPA and standardized test criteria

    Applicant must be a high school senior at the time of application who is a United States citizen and is a resident of Kentucky enrolled in a Kentucky school. Applicant must be active in community service and/or school activities and/or employment and will be a full-time college student with a minimum 3.0 GPA or an ACT score of 25 or above. A 500-word essay about professional plans after college, two letters of recommendation with one being from a teacher and one from a professional outside of the school system must be submitted. Recipient must agree to live and work in Kentucky after graduation. Award is $2,000 per semester for up to eight semesters.

  10. KSCPA Educational Foundation Scholarships

    Applicant must be enrolled in a Kentucky college or university and be at least a sophomore at the time of application. Principles of Accounting must have been completed by applicant. accounting

    Applicant must be a resident of Kentucky, demonstrate competency in prerequisite content and be enrolled in credit-bearing courses. Priority given to low-income students, minorities, students with disabilities and students in low-performing schools. plus reimbursement of textbook cost

  12. NTA Pat & Jim Host Undergraduate or Graduate Scholarship

    Applicant must be a permanent resident of Kentucky who is a full-time student (accepted or enrolled) in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at any accredited four-year university in Kentucky with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled in a tourism-specific program or area of focus, or a hospitality program with a focus on travel and tourism; or be a graduate student who is able to demonstrate a clear focus on and commitment to the tourism subject area. Application, scanned copy of driver's license (or passport) as proof of permanent residency, resume, two letters of recommendation (from academic and professional tourism-related individuals), official transcript, and a scanned two-page original essay are required to be submitted. Required essay question: "Discuss what segment of the travel and tourism or hospitality industry your current program of study focuses on. What opportunities are you taking advantage of as you prepare for a career in the industry? Please tell us about your academic and extracurricular activities and experiences, i.e. work, internships, etc., and how they tie into your present and future goals." Award will be sent to the recipient's financial aid office for the fall semester to cover tuition, books, educational fees (for undergraduate students), and tuition, books, educational fees, and research-related expenses for graduate students. hospitality with focus on travel and tourism, tourism-specific area

  13. National Excellence Scholarship

    Applicant must not be resident of Kentucky. Award covers partial tuition

  14. National Merit Finalist Scholarship

    Applicant must be named a National Merit finalist and list University of Kentucky as college choice.

  15. Otis A. Singletary Scholarship

    Applicant must have a minimum 3.75 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 31 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1360).

  16. Presidential Scholarship

    Applicant must submit the academic scholarship application. Award covers in-state tuition.

  17. Provost Scholarship

    Applicant must submit the application for academic scholarships

  18. Trustee Scholarship for Transfer Students

    Applicant must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours and must submit the Trustees Scholarship application

  19. Valedictorian Scholarship

    Applicant must be ranked number one in graduating class from a Kentucky high school. Applicant will not receive monetary award if they receive the Singletary Scholarship or Patterson Scholarship.
