Alloy Education $10,000 Scholarship
Applicant must be entering college for the first time and be accepted as a full-time freshman for the fall term. All students who use one of the two response options described in Careers and Colleges magazine or one of the three response options described in Private Colleges & Universities magazines (website registration is one of the options for both) and meet the requirements are eligible. NTA New York Undergraduate Scholarship
Applicant must be a permanent resident of New York who is enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the state of New York. Applicant must be entering the second year of a two-year school, or junior or senior year of undergraduate study in the fall of the calendar year of application. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and be enrolled in a tourism-specific program or area of focus, or a hospitality program with a focus on travel and tourism. A minimum of 30 credit hours must be completed for a two-year school; 60 credit hours for a four-year school by May in order to be eligible. Application, scanned copy of driver's license (or passport) as proof of permanent residency, resume, two letters of recommendation (from academic and professional from tourism-related individuals), official transcript, and a scanned two-page original essay are required to be submitted. Required essay question: "Discuss what segment of the travel and tourism or hospitality industry your current program of study focuses on.
