Matching Scholarships for Mount St. Mary's University

1. Alloy Education $10,000 Scholarship

   Applicant must be entering college for the first time and be accepted as a full-time freshman for the fall term. All students who use one of the two response options described in Careers and Colleges magazine or one of the three response options described in Private Colleges & Universities magazines (website registration is one of the options for both) and meet the requirements are eligible. The scholarship drawing will be held in May of each year, and the check will be issued to the institution at which the winner will enroll. The scholarship will be honored only at participating colleges and universities. A list of eligible colleges/universities is available at careersandcolleges.com. You do not need to complete an application for this scholarship.

2. Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, Child Welfare, and Juvenile Justice Workforce Tuition Assistance Program

   Applicant must be Maryland resident enrolled at a two- or four-year Maryland college or university as a full-time student. Applicant must enroll in a human services degree program. 3. Edward T. Conroy Memorial Scholarship

   Applicant must enroll at a two-year or four-year Maryland college or university, as a full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student or attend a private career school and be the son or daughter of a member of the U.S. Armed Forces who died or was 100% disabled as a direct result of military service; a veteran who suffers, as a direct result of military service, a disability of 25 percent or greater and has exhausted or is no longer eligible for federal veterans' educational benefits; the son, daughter, or surviving spouse of a victim of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks who died as a result of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the attack on the Pentagon in Virginia, or the crash of United Airlines Flight 93 in Pennsylvania; a POW/MIA of the Vietnam Conflict or his/her son or daughter; the son, daughter or surviving spouse (who has not remarried) of a state or local public safety employee or volunteer who died in the line of duty; or a state or local public safety employee or volunteer who was 100% disabled in the line of duty. The parent, veteran, POW or public safety employee or volunteer must have been a resident of Maryland at the time of death or when declared disabled or has a disability of 25 percent or greater and has exhausted or is no longer eligible for federal veteran's educational benefits.

4. Graduate and Professional Scholarship

   Applicant must be a Maryland resident who demonstrates financial need. Applicant must be degree-seeking, either full-time or part-time and attend one of the eligible institutions. dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, veterinary medicine

5. Kuderes Scholarship

   Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and have a minimum SAT score of 1200.

6. Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants Educational Foundation Scholarship

   Applicant must be a Maryland resident attending a Maryland college or university full time with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and at least 60 credit hours, including courses in accounting principles I and II. Applicant must plan to take the CPA exam, and be able to show financial need. Student aid report and transcripts required. accounting

7. Mount Merit Grant

   Applicant must rank in top two-fifths of class and have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1000.

8. Mount Scholarship

   Applicant should rank in top three-tenths of class and should have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100.

9. Part-Time Grant

   Applicant must be a Maryland resident enrolled in at least six but not more than 11 credits per semester at a Maryland school.

10. Penelope Hanshaw Scholarship

    Applicant must be currently enrolled as full-time, graduate or undergraduate geoscience major in an accredited, degree-granting college or university in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, or West Virginia. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. geoscience

11. Private Colleges & Universities Community Service Scholarship For Multicultural Students

    Applications are welcome from all eligible candidates. Application and essay about their community service involvement are required; the essay should not exceed 1,200 words. Transcript, and recommendations that will verify involvement in the community (other than family members) must also be submitted. Private Colleges & Universities magazine has established a scholarship administered by the Private Colleges & Universities Scholarship Foundation to help capable multicultural students finance their education at a private college or university.

12. Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund - Maryland Chapter Special Scholarship

    Applicant must be a woman, have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, be attending or accepted to an accredited school in Maryland, and be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Anne Arundel County, MD. Application, official transcript, biographical sketch, and three letters of recommendation required.

13. William Rucker Greenwood Scholarship

    Applicant must be a minority woman who is enrolled as full-time, graduate or undergraduate geoscience major in an accredited, degree-granting college or university in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, or West Virginia.
