Milligan, founded in 1866, is a private, church-affiliated, liberal arts college. Its 145-acre campus is located in Milligan College, three miles southeast of Johnson City.

  1. Academic Scholarship

    Applicant must have strong standardized test scores or, if applicant is a transfer student, a strong college GPA. Applicant must either be an incoming first-time student or a transfer student

  2. Alloy Education $10,000 Scholarship

    Applicant must be entering college for the first time and be accepted as a full-time freshman for the fall term.     Applicant must be seeking an associate's degree or bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, or a closely related field of study. First preference will be given to residents of Tennessee. Second preference will be given to applicants who are seeking their education from the University of Memphis.   17. Private Colleges & Universities Community Service Scholarship For Multicultural Students

    Applications are welcome from all eligible candidates. Application and essay about their community service involvement are required; the essay should not exceed 1,200 words. Transcript, and recommendations that will verify involvement in the community (other than family members) must also be submitted. Private Colleges & Universities magazine has established a scholarship administered by the Private Colleges & Universities Scholarship Foundation to help capable multicultural students finance their education at a private college or university.

  18. Tennessee HOPE Scholarship

    Applicant must be intending to enroll in a Tennessee postsecondary institution. Recipient receives up to $3,800 at a Tennessee four-year institution and up to $1,900 at a Tennessee two-year institution.

  19. Tennessee Math and Science Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program

    Applicant must be a tenured Tennessee public school teacher seeking certification of an advanced degree in science or math.

  20. Tennessee Student Assistance Award

    Applicant must be a Tennessee resident and United States citizen who is an undergraduate student pursuing their first degree and who is enrolled at least half-time at an eligible Tennessee post-secondary institution. Financial need is determined by FAFSA.
