Matching Scholarships for Hope College

Alloy Education $10,000 Scholarship
Applicant must be entering college for the first time and be accepted as a full-time freshman for the fall term. All students who use one of the two response options described in Careers and Colleges magazine or one of the three response options described in Private Colleges & Universities magazines (website registration is one of the options for both) and meet the requirements are eligible. The scholarship drawing will be held in May of each year, and the check will be issued to the institution at which the winner will enroll. The scholarship will be honored only at participating colleges and universities. A list of eligible colleges/universities is available at careersandcolleges.com. You do not need to complete an application for this scholarship.
Alumni Honors Scholarship
Applicant must have a minimum 3.75 GPA or a minimum 3.5 GPA and either rank in top fifth of class or have a minimum composite ACT score of 25 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1140).
Distinguished Artist Award
Applicant must demonstrate talent and be pursuing at least a minor in the field in which the scholarship is awarded. Preference is given to the applicant who intends to major in the field. art, dance, music, theatre
Distinguished Scholar Award
Applicant must have a minimum 3.6 GPA and a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1220 (composite ACT score of 27). Selection is based upon course selection, class rank, GPA, and standardized test scores.
Medical Career Scholarship
Applicant must be a resident of Michigan who ranks in the top quarter of their graduating class, is planning to attend a Michigan school, and who is the child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of an American Legion member or of someone eligible to be a member. Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a woman between the ages of 16 and 21 who is a Michigan resident attending or planning to attend a Michigan school and who is the daughter, granddaughter, or great-granddaughter of an American Legion Member or of someone who is eligible for American Legion membership. Selection is based upon transcripts, letters of recommendation, and financial need.
Michigan Competitve Scholarship
Applicant must file the FAFSA and score a 23 on the ACT. Award is based on financial need and merit. Tuition and fees only.
Michigan Tuition Grant
Applicant must be a student at an independent non-profit degree-granting college or university in Michigan. Award is based upon financial need.
National Merit Scholarship
Applicant must be a National Merit Scholar who has designated the college as his or her first choice with the National Merit Scholarship Corp.
Presidential Scholarship
Applicant must have a minimum 3.6 GPA and a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1240 (composite ACT score of 28). Selection is based upon overall academic record and demonstrated leadership qualities in high school, community, and church.
Private Colleges & Universities Community Service Scholarship For Multicultural Students
Applications are welcome from all eligible candidates. Application and essay about their community service involvement are required; the essay should not exceed 1,200 words. Transcript, and recommendations that will verify involvement in the community (other than family members) must also be submitted. Private Colleges & Universities magazine has established a scholarship administered by the Private Colleges & Universities Scholarship Foundation to help capable multicultural students finance their education at a private college or university.
Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students
Applicant must be a Michigan resident who is the dependent of a veteran. Applicant must be a non-traditional student returning to higher education after an interruption, a degree-seeking student over age 22 attending college in Michigan for the first time, or a student over age 22 attending a Michigan vocational or trade school. Selection is based upon academic ability, character/leadership, initiative, and financial need. Transcripts or work history required.

Trustee Scholarship
Applicant must have a minimum 3.8 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 33 (combined SAT score of 1400). Selection is based upon academic record, demonstrated leadership abilities, involvement in school/community activities, essay, and campus interview with faculty. National Merit Scholarship recipients and transfer students are not eligible.
Valedictorian Scholarship
Applicant must be a high school valedictorian who did not win any other Hope College-sponsored merit-based academic scholarships.
Young Survivor Scholarship Program
Applicant must be a United States citizen and a legal resident of Indiana or Michigan who is 20 years old or younger and is a cancer survivor. Applicant must attend, or be planning to attend an accredited college, university, or trade/technical school in either of those two states and be able to maintain full-time status carrying 12 or more credit hours per semester.
