Matching Scholarships for Georgia Institute of Technology

  1. Constance L. Lloyd/ACMPE Scholarship

    Applicant must be a woman enrolled at an accredited college or university in Georgia. Applicant must submit a letter stating career goals and objectives, a resume showing employment history with a brief narrative describing specific employment responsibilities in health care field, and three letters of recommendation. Reference letters should address performance, character, potential to succeed, and need for scholarship support.   2. Georgia Public Safety Memorial Grant

    Applicant must be the dependent child of a Georgia Public Safety Officer who is permanently disabled or was killed in the line of duty.

  3. Governor's Scholarship

    Applicant must be a STAR student or valedictorian of their graduating class. Nomination by high school is required. One valedictorian is eligible; more than one STAR student per high school if there are two or more applicants with the same qualifications. Amount depends on funds available each year.

  4. HERO Scholarship Program (Helping Educate Reservists and their Offspring)

    Applicant must be a member of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reservists who served in combat zones or the child/spouse of such members.

  5. HOPE & PROMISE Teacher Scholarship Loans

    Applicant must be a student looking to teach in a critical shortage field in Georgia (determined by the Georgia Student Finance Commission). Service cancelable loans. Recipient must teach in critical shortage field for graduate students in Georgia Public School System. $3,000 for PROMISE award; 200 credit hours for HOPE award.

  6. HOPE Grant Program

    Applicant must be a resident of Georgia who is enrolled in a certificate or diploma program at an eligible public college, university, or public technical college. GPA is not considered. Tuition, HOPE-approved fees, and a book allowance of up to $100 per quarter or $150 per semester.

  7. HOPE Scholarship Program

    Applicant must be a resident of Georgia who is enrolled in a degree program at an eligible public or private college, university, or public technical college demonstrating academic achievement. Award at an approved private college or university is $3,500 per academic year for full-time students and $1,750 for part-time students. Plus approved mandatory fees and book allowance.

  8. James J. Burns and C.A. Haynes Textile Scholarship

    For students enrolled in a textile program (Textile Design, Textile Engineering, Textile Science, etc.) at a school offering those programs such as: University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth, Rhode Island School of Design, Philadelphia University, North Carolina State University, Clemson University, Georgia Tech, Auburn University. Preference is given to sons and daughters of members of National Association of Textile Supervisors

  9. Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship

    Applicant must be a high school senior who will be entering a Georgia university, college, or technical institute (if program is two or more years) as a full-time student in the fall following their high school graduation. High school record/transcript, SAT scores, qualification from high school teacher, essay on community banking, and list of leadership positions, activities, honors, and awards are required to be submitted. Selection will be based upon merit; financial need is not a consideration. $1,000

  10. Law Enforcement Personnel Dependents Grant (LEPD)

    Applicant must be a child of a law enforcement personnel, firefighter, or corrections officer/prison guard who has been permanently disabled or killed in the line of duy.

  11. Peyton Anderson Scholarship

    Applicant must be a high school senior graduating from a Bibb County high school, who will attend one of nine specified Middle Georgia colleges and universities. Selection is based upon academic initiative and a commitment to making a positive difference in the community. Letter of recommendation and essay responses (for everyone), and interview (finalists only) are required. Award will cover tuition, campus housing and meals, books, transportation costs, and special programs related to major.
