Matching Scholarships for Evergreen State College

1. Bobbi McCallum Scholarship

   Applicant must attend a Washington State college or university. Selection is based upon newspaper writing samples and financial need. Two letters of recommendation required. Journalism

2. Cultural Diversity Scholarship

   Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time and be from a different ethnic background or diverse culture.

3. Douglas County Community Scholarship

   Applicant must be an Oregon resident, a graduate of a Douglas County high school, be enrolled full time at a California, Idaho, Oregon, or Washington school, and demonstrate financial need.

4. First People's Scholarship

   Applicant must be a new, full-time, undergraduate student, demonstrate academic achievement, leadership in community service, or talent in a particular area, and be either African-American, Asian, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American. transfer students

   Applicant must be a first-time, full-time undergraduate and demonstrate academic achievement, leadership in community service, or talent in a particular area. transfer students

6. Nellie Martin Carman Scholarship

   Applicant must be nominated by his/her high school to become a candidate for this scholarship. Applicant must be attending a public high school in the county of King, Pierce or Snohomish in the state of Washington, be a U.S. citizen, and be planning to attend college in the state of Washington. Applicants majoring in music, sculpture art, interior decorating, and domestic science are not eligible. Selection based on financial need, academic record, college test scores, school and community activity.

7. State Need Grant

   Applicant must be a Washington state resident with low family income, planning to attend an eligible Washington state institution. Students are designated for the grant by their school's financial aid office.

8. Washington State Educational Opportunity Grant

   Applicant must be a a Washington resident and demonstrate financial need. In addition, applicant must be under place-bound circumstances (personal barriers such as family or employment commitments, health concerns, financial inability, or other similar factors that make it difficult to continue education at an eligible college).
