Matching Scholarships for California Institute of Technology

  1. AWA Scholarship Awards

    Applicant must be a California resident attending an accredited school in California who has completed at least 18 units in their major in a program granting a degree or certificate. Selection is based solely upon merit. architecture, civil, structural, mechanical or electrical engineering as related to architecture, environmental design, interior design, landscape architecture, urban and land planning

  2. Alloy Education $10,000 Scholarship

    Applicant must be entering college for the first time and be accepted as a full-time freshman for the fall term. All students who use one of the two response options described in Careers and Colleges magazine or one of the three response options described in Private Colleges & Universities magazines (website registration is one of the options for both) and meet the requirements are eligible. The scholarship drawing will be held in May of each year, and the check will be issued to the institution at which the winner will enroll. The scholarship will be honored only at participating colleges and universities. A list of eligible colleges/universities is available at careersandcolleges.com. You do not need to complete an application for this scholarship.

  3. Cal Grant A

    Applicant must be a California resident attending a California educational institution, demonstrate financial need, and have satisfactory academic qualifications. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

  4. Cal Grant B

    Applicant must be a California resident attending a California educational institution. Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Selection is based upon financial need and academic qualifications; disadvantaged background increases likelihood of receiving award.

  5. College Fee Waiver

    Applicant must be a California resident who is planning to attend a California public community college or university, and who is the child of a veteran who has a service-connected disability or who died a service-related death. Annual income, including support from parents, cannot exceed $8,480.

  6. College Fee Waiver for California National Guard Dependents

    Applicant must be a dependent or surviving spouse of a member of the California National Guard who was killed or disabled resulting from an event that occurred while in the active service of the state. Applicant must attend a California state college, university, or community college.

  7. Culinary Arts/Nutrition/Physical Education Scholarship

    Applicant must be an African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, or Latino/Hispanic, enrolled in an approved program at a California institution. Undergraduate applicant must have 50 semester units completed and a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Graduate applicant must have 12-15 units completed and a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.   8. Douglas County Community Scholarship

    Applicant must be an Oregon resident, a graduate of a Douglas County high school, be enrolled full time at a California, Idaho, Oregon, or Washington school, and demonstrate financial need.

  9. Ebell/Flint Scholarship

    Applicant must be a Los Angeles County resident attending a Los Angeles County school. Applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA.

  10. Iris & Roger Wilkins Scholarship

    Applicant must be a Ventura County resident, enrolling at a public college, university or community college in California, who pursue an RN degree and demonstrate financial need. nursing

  11. James C. Basile Scholarship

    Applicant must be a Ventura County Resident, demonstrate financial need, have a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled in a public college or university in California. Preference for students from schools in Simi Valley or Moorpark; or for Ventura County students who are physically or visually impaired; or for Ventura County students who have had one or both parents killed or disabled while engaged in services as a fire fighter or law enforcement provider.

  12. Private Colleges & Universities Community Service Scholarship For Multicultural Students

    Applications are welcome from all eligible candidates. Application and essay about their community service involvement are required; the essay should not exceed 1,200 words. Transcript, and recommendations that will verify involvement in the community (other than family members) must also be submitted. Private Colleges & Universities magazine has established a scholarship administered by the Private Colleges & Universities Scholarship Foundation to help capable multicultural students finance their education at a private college or university.

  13. QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship

    Applicant must be a high school seniors. Primary selection criteria are academic achievement and low-income status. Specific income thresholds are not used, but various factors are considered, including total family income, family size, and extenuating circumstances. Historically, most award recipients have come from households earning under $60,000 per year. Match program pairs academically outstanding low-income students with admission and full scholarships to partner colleges. College Match scholarships cover tuition, room and board, and most partner colleges automatically renew the award for all four years.

  14. USREY Family Scholarship

    Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate landscape horticulture program or related discipline at a two or four-year institution. Students in vocational agriculture programs will also be considered. Applicants must be currently enrolled in good standing and carry a full-time course load at the time of application and during the semesters for which the scholarship is granted. Applicant must have a minimum 2.25 GPA, a minimum 2.7 GPA in their major, and must be a student enrolled in a California state university or college. California state residency is not required.
